Art and the Internet

final Project - Alice in Wonderland Adaptation

For the final project we are going to be creating a website based on your version of Alice in Wonderland. Images will be completely original and created by you, using Photoshop, Illustrator, photography, video stills, and drawings. The problem at hand is to develop a conceptual narrative and invent your own style of digital storytelling.

The purpose of the project is to help you communicate through a series of images, to develop provocative narrative imagery, manipulate navigation and the users experience, and work with appropriation techniques.  This project should reveal your personal version of the tale.  The story should serve as a starting point, but not restrict you to making your own version. NO existing Alice in Wonderland imagery may be used!!! Only original work will be accepted.

I would like you to push yourself past the obvious and literal imagery of your narrative.  Do your research of this tale and build a conceptual foundation according to your interest in the story. You should consider composition, color, texture, line, focal point, movement, user experience, mood and message.

Sound should be designed along with the imagery to enhance your narrative.  You can use many forms of sound that is applicable such as, voice over, noise, music, ambient sounds or text. (we will be working in Garage band and Flash to incorporate sound and video)

Keep in mind camera angle, perspective, transitions and navigation. You are to create the viewer's experience using a multitude of media.

This project will incorporate: Various uses of imagery, Buttons, Interaction, Sound and Video
